This application addresses a common oversight: forgetting a loved one's birthday or saint's day. Its development was motivated by personal experience, aiming to provide a reliable reminder system.

Unlike traditional calendar applications that integrate event dates, Oups offers additional functionality with customizable alerts. Users can set up to three daily notifications, featuring music choices to personalize the reminder experience. These alerts are stored locally on the device, ensuring offline functionality and operation across the globe.

Importantly, the application is designed with privacy in mind; it does not collect or transmit any private contact data to external servers.

While the core concept may appear straightforward, Oups offers extensive customization options. Users can tailor up to three alerts per day for birthdays or saints, deactivate specific reminders as needed, and receive pre-emptive notifications the day before significant dates—such as holidays—particularly in regions like France and Spain where these traditions are prevalent.
